Money today or big money tomorrow – is that the question? On those rare occasions when I think I have 5-6 hours blocked off to play in a multi-table online poker tournament, the same question always pops into my head – satellite or not.

09/23/2007

I don’t play enough on-line poker to lay down the entry fees into the big Sunday tournaments week in and week out. But I know in my heart that a six figure score is in my future. Do I give myself an opportunity today, or go for the prize money I am accused to.

The Heartland Poker League was designed so players don’t have to make this choice. Play for the money today, but set yourself up for big money down the road. When you play in a Heartland Poker League, you lay down $50-$100. 100% of the prize pool is paid out that night, plus you accumulate points for a chance to play in a Heartland Poker Tour televised event for a six figure score.

2008 is going to be awesome for Heartland Poker League players. In addition to giving an HPT main event seat to each casino’s season champion, we are giving away HPT qualifier seat to the monthly points leader at each participating casino. If you don’t know how the HPT qualifier seats work, check out www.heartlandpokertour.com.

We are in the process of signing-up 2008 participating casinos. So if you would like to play HPL, let your favorite casino know about it. The HPL is committed to giving you more real chances at unreal money.
